Maple Whiskey Sour

Maple Whiskey Sour Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz whiskey (bourbon or rye)
  • 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz pure maple syrup
  • Dash of Angostura bitters (optional)
  • Lemon twist, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the whiskey, fresh lemon juice, maple syrup, and a dash of Angostura bitters if using.
  2. Fill the shaker with ice cubes to about halfway.
  3. Put the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to chill and thoroughly mix the ingredients.
  4. Strain the cocktail into an old-fashioned glass filled with ice. You can use a strainer to catch any ice shards.
  5. If desired, you can garnish the cocktail with a twist of lemon peel. To create the twist, hold a lemon peel over the glass and give it a little twist to release the oils. Then drop the twist into the cocktail.
  6. Give the cocktail a gentle stir to combine the flavors, and enjoy your Maple Whiskey Sour!
