Maple Salmon Gravlax

Maple Salmon Gravlax

Maple Salmon Gravlax

Here is a good recipe for any lover of maple syrup and raw salmon. The salmon gravlax comes from Scandinavian cuisine. Gravlax is a very simple way to cook salmon. Instead of cooking the fish, let it marinate in the freezer in a coating of maple syrup and salt. One of the advantages of this recipe is that the fish does not need to be cooked. After marinating 3-4 days, the salmon will become like smoked salmon. It will have soft flesh and a refined taste. Serve as an appetizer on baguette slices with Philadelphia.

INGREDIENTS

- 4 tbsp (60ml) Canadian maple syrup

- 1 tbsp (15ml) Whole-grain mustard

- 1 1/2 lbs (680g) Skinless salmon filet

- 1/4 cup kosher salt

PREPARATION

1- In a dish mix the maple syrup, mustard and salt.

2- Take the previously prepared mixture and apply it evenly on both sides of the salmon.

3- Put the salmon on plastic wrap and coat it well

4- Place the coated salmon in the refrigerator for 3-4 days, turning it every 24 hours

5- We recommend that you put some weight on the salmon when it marinates in the refrigerator.
